Development of 7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amine Derivatives Using QSARINS Tool as BTK Inhibitors for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation of the joints, leading to pain, swelling, and joint deformity. Effective management of RA involves the use of disease-modifying drugs that can slow down disease progression and alleviate symptoms. Among the potential targets for RA treatment is Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), which plays a crucial role in B-cell signalling and contributes to the pathogenesis of RA.

Cloud Services for Patient Cohort Identification Using the Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside Platform.

Despite the widespread use of the "Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside" (i2b2) platform, there are substantial challenges for loading electronic health records (EHR) into i2b2 and for querying i2b2. We have previously presented a simplified framework for semantic abstraction of EHR records into i2b2. Building on our previous work, we have created a proof-of-concept implementation of cloud services on an i2b2 data store for cohort identification.

Retained Double J Stent with Huge Renal and Bladder Calculi Extracted by Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy and Percutaneous Cystolitholapaxy in a Single Encounter.

We report a case of retained Double J ureteral stent with huge, multiple calculi at both ends in a 10-year-old female child. The renal and bladder calculi were managed by percutaneous nephrolithotomy and percutaneous cystolitholapaxy in a single sitting.

Incidence of prostate cancer at a single tertiary care center in North Karnataka.

Context: Prostate cancer (PC) remains one of the most common cancers affecting men today. Thus, understanding the prevalence, disease characteristics, and changing demographics of Indian PC patients has emerged as an important aspect of study.

Aims: We aimed to present the case series of PC patients from single tertiary care center in North Karnataka.

Study on the interaction between anti-tuberculosis drug ethambutol and bovine serum albumin: multispectroscopic and cyclic voltammetric approaches.

The binding of bovine serum albumin (BSA) to ethambutol (EMB) was investigated using spectroscopic methods, viz., fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet (UV)/vis absorption and cyclic voltammetry techniques. Spectroscopic analysis of the emission quenching at different temperatures revealed that the quenching mechanism of serum albumin by EMB is static, which was also confirmed by lifetime measurements.
