Background: This study compares the immunogenicity and safety of a 3-antigen (S/pre-S1/pre-S2) hepatitis B (HepB) vaccine (3AV), to a single antigen vaccine (1AV) in adults to support the registration of 3AV in Russia.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, comparative study of 3-dose regimens of 3AV (10 μg) and 1AV (20 µg) in adults aged 18-45 years. We evaluated immunogenicity based on hepatitis B surface (HBs) antibody titers at days 1, 28, 90, 180, and 210, adverse and serious adverse events (SAEs) to study day 210.
Previously, we showed that CD206-targeted liposomal delivery of co-encapsulated immunodominant myelin basic protein (MBP) sequences MBP, MBP and MBP (Xemys) suppressed experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in dark Agouti rats. The objective of this study was to assess the safety of Xemys in the treatment of patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS) and secondary progressive MS, who failed to achieve a sustained response to first-line disease-modifying therapies. In this phase I, open-label, dose-escalating, proof-of-concept study, 20 patients with relapsing-remitting or secondary progressive MS received weekly subcutaneously injections with ascending doses of Xemys up to a total dose of 2.

In most samples (40 of 50), the growth-stimulating characteristics were greater than in 10% FCS, but every ninth sample exhibited low mitogenic activity. A weak dependence between platelet concentration and total protein content was noted, but no correlation was found between these parameters and fibroblast growth in culture.

It was found that intracerebral and systemic transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells improves neuronal survival in the piriform cortex of the contralateral hemisphere without affecting neuronal survival in the marginal zone of the traumatic cavity and amygdaloid nuclei. Intracerebral transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells increases the content of the astroglial component of the scar in the borderline zone of the traumatic cavity.

The properties of the foam films were compared with the analogous ones of the emulsion films. The experiment provided the rheological characteristics of the dispersion medium.
