Nucleotide-mediated modulation of chemoselective protein functionalization in a liquid-like condensed phase.

Liquid-like protein condensates are ubiquitous in cellular system and are increasingly recognized for their roles in physiological processes. Condensed phase harbors distinctive chemical microenvironment, markedly different than dilute aqueous phase. Herein, we demonstrate chemoselective modification pattern of nucleophilic canonical amino acid sidechains (namely - cysteine, tyrosine and lysine) of the protein towards 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzofurazan in the dilute and condensed phase.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has become one of the most serious threats to One Health. Aquatic environments are an ideal non-clinical AMR reservoir and can act as a key battlefront for tackling the AMR. Prevalence and patterns of helmet use among motorized two-wheelers: findings from a large observational study in an Indian metropolis.

Motorized two-wheeler users account for 45% of road fatalities in 2021 in India. Correct helmet use decreases the risk of fatalities, but information about the prevalence of correct helmet use is limited in the Indian context. This study aims to assess the prevalence of helmet use and factors associated with correct helmet use among motorized two-wheeler users in Bengaluru city, India.
