Background And Aims: Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play key roles in the tumor microenvironment. IgA contributes to inflammation and dismantling antitumor immunity in the human liver. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the effects of the IgA complex on CAFs in Pil Soo Sung the tumor microenvironment of HCC.

Methods: Nine tumor and surrounding liver tissue samples from patients with HCC who underwent surgery were used to isolate patient-derived CAFs. Cell morphology was observed using an optical microscope after culture, and cell phenotypes were evaluated using flow cytometry and immunoblotting.
Reinforced concrete (RC) structures with non-seismic reinforcement details are vulnerable to earthquakes. This experimental study evaluates the efficiency of three techniques to alleviate the dynamic responses of existing structures: glass fiber-reinforced polyurea (GFRPU) reinforcement, a lever-typed tuned mass damper (LTMD) system, and a hybrid system of GFRPU and LTMD reinforcements. The lateral-resisting capacity and ductility of the GFRPU reinforcement specimen were enhanced by the material characteristics, and the dynamic responses were alleviated.

Tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) is a widely used antiviral drug for hepatitis B. In this study, we investigated the potential pharmacological effects of TAF on NASH.

However, there is a paucity of predictive biomarkers that facilitate the identification of patients that would respond to ICI therapy. Although several researchers have attempted to resolve the issue, the data is insufficient to alter daily clinical practice.
