Background: Prophylaxis with valganciclovir reduces the incidence of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection following solid organ transplant (SOT). Under-dosing of valganciclovir is associated with an increased risk of CMV infection and development of ganciclovir-resistant CMV.
Methods: An automated electronic health record (EHR)-based, pharmacist-driven program was developed to optimize dosing of valganciclovir in solid organ transplant recipients at a large transplant center.
Children learn words through an accumulation of interactions grounded in context. Although many factors in the learning environment have been shown to contribute to word learning in individual studies, no empirical synthesis connects across factors. We introduce a new ultradense corpus of audio and video recordings of a single child's life that allows us to measure the child's experience of each word in his vocabulary.

Unfortunately, assaying allele states by allele sequencing is slow and cumbersome. The most desirable type of genetic marker would be unambiguous, inexpensive to assay and would be assayable singly or in parallel with hundreds of other markers (multiplexable).
