Spectrum and demographic profile of pediatric intraocular tumors from a single center in India: an analysis of 445 eyes.

Background: To describe the spectrum, demographic profile and distribution of intraocular oncology cases; both benign and malignant, in pediatric population in India.

Methods: It was a retrospective study done at a tertiary care hospital over a period of seven years (January 2015- December 2022) which included all the children aged 0-16 years, clinically diagnosed as intraocular tumors (benign or malignant) referred to our Ocular Oncology clinic. The data was retrieved from medical records department as well as electronic medical system (EMR) system.

The WE-RISE™ multi-domain intervention: a feasibility study for the potential reversal of cognitive frailty in Malaysian older persons of lower socioeconomic status.

Background: Cognitive frailty (CF) is an emerging concern among older persons, particularly within lower socioeconomic statuses (SES) populations. Currently, there is limited evidence on the potential reversibility of CF through multi-domain interventions within this demographic. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the WE-RISE™ multi-domain intervention in addressing the potential reversibility of CF among community-dwelling older persons of lower SES, the intervention effects on multiple health dimensions, and to determine if WE-RISE™ is of low cost.

Limited health literacy increases the likelihood of cognitive frailty among older adults.

Background: Cognitive frailty is a dual geriatric syndrome that is preventable with lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes are influenced by literacy level. However, the association between limited health literacy (HL) and cognitive frailty (CF) is yet to be discovered.
