Seven new coordination networks, [Fe(tbbt)](BF) (), [Co(tbbt)](BF) (), [Fe(tbbt)](ClO) (), [Co(tbbt)](ClO) (), [Fe(NCS)(tbbt)] (), [Co(NCS)(tbbt)] (), and [Fe(HO)(tbbt)]Br·2HO (), were synthesized with the linker 1,1'-(-2-butene-1,4-diyl)bis-1,2,4-triazole (tbbt) and structurally investigated. The structure of complexes - is composed of three interpenetrating, symmetry-related 3D networks. Each individual 3D network forms a primitive, nearly cubic lattice () with BF or ClO anions present in the interstitial spaces.

The objectives of this observational study in 2 commercial dairy herds were to determine the effects of environmental heat stress on standing and lying behavior, to monitor the changes in core body temperature (CBT) of cows during lying and standing bouts, and to compare changes in CBT during standing bouts in freestall pens versus standing in holding pens. High-producing cows were selected for data collection over a period of 6 d of increasing heat stress during a heat wave to which they were not acclimated.

The 1-alkyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium-based ionic liquids contain an alkyl substituent varying between butyl and decyl groups. Optically pure ionic liquids are used in these studies.
