Such environment is supported by both tumor- and stromal-derived metabolites, particularly lactate. In prostate cancer (PCa), cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are major contributors of secreted lactate, able to impact on metabolic and transcriptional regulation in cancer cells.

Background: Postoperative acute kidney injury (PO-AKI) is a frequent complication after surgery. Background: Differences have often been reported in the outcomes of bladder cancer (BC) patients according to gender.

Objective: This study aims to provide data on patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC) in a high-volume tertiary urologic center and to assess whether gender discrepancies do exist in terms of surgical options and clinical outcomes.
