Acquired lymphangiectasia of the vulva is very uncommon. Owing to the non-specific papillomatous manifestation and the vast array of possible differential diagnoses, lymphangioma circumscriptum (LC) still presents a diagnostic challenge. In this report, we present a very rare form of acquired vulvar LC in a 71-year-old patient with a longstanding history of asymptomatic lesions over the labia majora that had been previously treated as genital warts.

The reflection and transmission coefficients of an indium tin oxide (ITO) nanoribbongrating placed between a nematic liquid crystal (LC) layer and an isotropic dielectric medium arecalculated in the infrared region. Reflection and transmission spectra in the range of 1-5 μm relatedto the surface plasmon excitation in the ITO nanoribbons are obtained. Dependence of the peakspectral position on the grating spacing, the ribbon aspect ratio, and the 2D electron concentrationin the nanoribbons is studied.

Background The outcomes of patients with both lung cancer and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are unfavorable. Therapeutic interventions for lung cancer such as surgery can cause acute exacerbation of IPF (aeIPF). This study aimed to assess the frequency of IPF in a group of patients with early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to report clinical characteristics and outcomes of this cohort of patients.

In our studies, it was shown that the effectiveness of the conditioned medium obtained by cultivating mesenchymal stem cells depends on the microenvironment conditions used to cultivate the cells. It was demonstrated that the conditioned medium obtained by culturing cells with low oxygen content (10%) has a much more pronounced protective effect. Protein compositions obtained from MSCs cultured under hypoxic (10% O hc-MSC) and normal (21% O nc-MSC) conditions were used to treat acute liver failure (ALF) induced in mice by acetaminophen injection.
