The atmospheric correction of satellite images based on radiative transfer calculations is a prerequisite for many remote sensing applications. The software package ATCOR, developed at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), is a versatile atmospheric correction software, capable of processing data acquired by many different optical satellite sensors. Based on this well established algorithm, a new Python-based atmospheric correction software has been developed to generate L2A products of Sentinel-2, Landsat-8, and of new space-based hyperspectral sensors such as DESIS (DLR Earth Sensing Imaging Spectrometer) and EnMAP (Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program).

The typing of extended phenotype parameters belonging to the Duffy, Kidd, MNSs blood group systems and others, however, has not yet been demonstrated for this technique. Reliable detection of Fy , a weak Fy phenotype with a pronounced quantitative reduction of the number of Fy antigens on the erythrocyte surface, remains a weakness of current serological blood grouping techniques.

To increase the likelihood that a product mix-up would be detected in the transplant center, we developed a simple protocol for extended blood typing and hence, for confirmation of donor/product identity, on a tube segment. Apheresis samples were applied, directly or after erythrocyte enrichment, to commercially available blood typing assays, including lateral flow cards and gel agglutination cards.

However, such evaluations could be improved considering information about the frequency of standard blood groups and their variants. METHODS: Using RHD and ABO population genetic data, a Caucasian-specific donor panel was compiled for a performance comparison of the three RhD and ABO serological typing methods MDmulticard (Medion Diagnostics), ID-System (DiaMed) and ScanGel (Bio-Rad).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA total of 70 serum samples from heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT II) patients, non-HIT patients and healthy subjects, respectively, were studied for the presence of antiheparin/PF4 antibodies. Two enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assays were compared with the particle gel immunoassay (PaGIA). Beads of the PaGIA kit were also used to evaluate the feasibility of flow cytometric detection of antiheparin/PF4 antibodies in patient samples.
