We aim to elucidate factors influencing waiting periods, and to evaluate the effect of hospital volume on surgical treatment policies. Therefore, a prospective randomised clinical trial was designed to assess the effectiveness of reduction mammaplasty performed for symptomatic breast hypertrophy.
