The gut microbiome was involved in a variety of physiological processes and played a key role in host environmental adaptation. However, the mechanisms of their response to altitudinal environmental changes remain unclear. In this study, we used 16S rRNA sequencing and LC-MS metabolomics to investigate the changes in the gut microbiome and metabolism of the Yarkand toad-headed agama () at different altitudes (-80 m to 2000 m).

Inhibition of appetite is an effective approach to fight obesity. Recently, bile acids have been reported to suppress appetite and alleviate obesity via the Takeda G protein-coupled receptor 5 (TGR5). However, whether the downstream signaling molecule cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) of TGR5 is involved in this process remains unclear.

However, the complex interactions between nanocarriers and the biological environment pose considerable challenges in designing effective targeted delivery vehicles. In this study, we address this challenge by leveraging DNA-barcoded high-throughput screening.

In recent years, numerous EGFR inhibitors have been introduced to the market; unfortunately, the effectiveness of single-target EGFR inhibitors has been compromised due to the development of drug resistance caused by EGFR mutations. Despite attempts by some researchers to address this issue through combination therapy with two or more drugs, instances of dose-limiting toxicities have been observed.

A sample of 605 Chinese female undergraduates completed questionnaires on celebrity worship, consideration of cosmetic surgery, body dissatisfaction, and body shame. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between intense personal feelings toward celebrities and the consideration of cosmetic surgery.
