Assessing Wound Healing in Vivo Using a Dual-Function Phosphorescent Probe Sensitive to Tissue Oxygenation and Regenerating Collagen.

Levels of tissue oxygenation and collagen regeneration are critical indicators in the early evaluation of wound healing. Traditionally, these factors have been assessed using separate instruments and different methodologies. Here, we adopt the spatially averaged phosphorescence lifetime approach using Re-diimine complexes (Re-probe) to enable simultaneous quantification of these two critical factors in healing wounds.

Correlations Between the Pterygomaxillary Junction and Appropriate Osteotome Placement Angles During Junction Separation in Le Fort I Osteotomy.

Purpose: The authors evaluated pterygomaxillary junction angles across malocclusion patterns and identified the optimal technique for effective pterygomaxillary junction separation during Le Fort I osteotomy, focusing on appropriate osteotome angles and clinical applications.

Methods: This retrospective study included 211 patients with malocclusion who had undergone Le Fort I osteotomy at Chang Gung Craniofacial Center between December 2015 and September 2023. The patients were stratified by sex and malocclusion class (class I, II, or III).

Background: Plagiocephaly, wherein infants' head exhibits a diagonal asymmetry, is currently diagnosed based on physicians' subjective judgment. Purpose Of Review: Dietary phytochemicals, bioactive compounds derived from plants, have gained increasing attention for their potential role in cancer prevention. Among these, NRF2 (nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2) activating dietary phytochemicals such as curcumin, sulforaphane, ursolic acid, and cyanidin have demonstrated significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making them promising agents in chemoprevention. This review examines the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) profiles of these dietary phytochemicals, with a focus on their NRF2-mediated effects in cancer prevention.
