Staphylococcus warneri is a gram-positive mesophilic bacterium, resilient to extreme environmental conditions. To unravel its Osmotic Tolerance Response (OTR), we conducted proteomic and metabolomic analyses under drought (PEG) and salt (NaCl) stresses. Our findings revealed 1340 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) across all treatments.

Genome-Wide Association study for root system architecture traits in field soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.].

Roots play a crucial role in plant development, serving to absorb water and nutrients from the soil while also providing structural stability. However, the impacts of global warming can impede root growth by altering soil conditions that hinder overall plant growth. To address this challenge, there is a need to screen and identify plant genotypes with superior Root System Architecture traits (RSA), that can be used for future breeding efforts in enhancing their resilience to these environmental changes.

Introgression and Mapping of Cotton Leaf Curl Disease (CLCuD) Resistance from Wild Kearney into Upland Cotton (. L.).

Cotton leaf curl disease (CLCuD), caused by the whitefly transmitted geminivirus complex (Cotton leaf curl virus - CLCuV and their satellite molecules), is a serious threat to successful upland cotton production in northwest India, Pakistan, and China. The disease causes significant losses in fibre yield and the quality of cotton. Owing to the regular emergence of resistance breaking strains of CLCuV, all the previously available CLCuD resistant germplasms of upland cotton have become compromised and none of the extant upland cotton cultivars is resistant to this disease.

A Vocal Cord Polyp: An Atypical Case of Molluscum Contagiosum.

A 44-year-old patient presented with hoarseness of voice and a polypoidal lesion on the left vocal cord. Complete excision was done. To our knowledge, this is the second reported case of molluscum contagiosum of the vocal cords.
