Periodontitis leads to a destruction of the tooth-supporting apparatus, which untreated may end up in tooth-loss. Key factor in the pathogenesis of periodontitis is the host immune response, genetic predisposition, and lifestyle factors (such as smoking, stress, and diabetes), all of which influence disease severity. Periodontitis is more common in men than women, this fact may point out that gender may have an influence on periodontitis.

Objective: Aim of this study was to critically appraise clinical evidence on the potential benefits of adjunctive use of superfoods green tea and turmeric as mouthrinse or local delivery agents in the treatment of periodontal disease.
Materials And Methods: Electronic searches were performed in four databases for randomized trials from inception to February 2024 assessing the supplemental use of superfoods green tea and turmeric for gingivitis/periodontitis treatment. After duplicate study selection, data extraction, and risk-of-bias assessment with the RoB 2 tool, random-effects meta-analyses of Mean Differences (MD) or Standardized Mean Differences (SMD) with their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were performed.
This study explored the clinical and radiological outcomes after autologous premolar and wisdom tooth transplantation, with a focus on periodontal status. A systematic search was conducted using all relevant databases up to April 5, 2024. The inclusion criteria were as follows: a) human participants, b) a sample size of at least five autotransplanted teeth, c) molar or premolar transplants, d) English language use, and e) at least 1 year of follow-up.

No study has assessed the efficacy of PLCL bilayer membrane for periodontal regeneration therapy despite the fact that PLCL bilayer membrane has proved efficient for bone regeneration.
Methods: In five beagle dogs, the bilateral mandibular second and fourth premolars were extracted 8 weeks before the experimental surgery.

Objective: The study evaluates three biologically active substances with known bone-inductive potential on previously decontaminated titanium (Ti) discs.
Material And Methods: Rough and smooth Ti surfaces were contaminated with a multispecies biofilm and cleaned with a chitosan brush. Discs were treated either with injectable-platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF), advanced platelet-rich fibrin (A-PRF+), or enamel matrix derivatives (EMDs) before osteoblast seeding.
