The (n,γ) reaction cross-section for the elements Zn, Zr, Sb and Sb, present in the reactor structural/shielding materials, was measured by neutron activation technique in the neutron energy region of 1-2 MeV as very limited data is available in this energy range. Further, the neutron spectrum peaks in this energy region for the fast breeder reactors and proposed accelerator driven sub-critical systems. The natural strontium (Sr) element was used as a neutron flux monitor by considering effective combined reaction cross-section for Sr(n,γ)Sr and Sr(n,n')Sr reactions.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to compare pregnancy outcomes between women with PCOS and a control group, assessing maternal-fetal health and birth outcomes through data collected from 2017 to 2022.
  • - Results showed women with PCOS had higher incidences of preeclampsia (12.3% vs. 8.1%) and gestational diabetes (18.7% vs. 9.8%) compared to the control group, highlighting increased risks associated with PCOS.
  • - However, there were no significant differences in low birth weight or preterm delivery, indicating the complexity of PCOS's impact on pregnancy and the need for further research to improve health outcomes for mothers and babies.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of various remineralizing agents in stopping the early enamel lesions surrounding orthodontic brackets from progressing.

Techniques: Four groups were randomly allocated to a total of 100 participants: the control group (no treatment), calcium phosphate, casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP), and fluoride varnish. Remineralizing chemicals were administered in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, and enamel lesions were created around orthodontic brackets.
