Background: In Cameroon, like in many other resource-limited countries, data generated by health settings including morbidity and mortality parameters are not always uniform. In the absence of a national guideline necessary for the standardization and harmonization of data, precision of data required for effective decision-making is therefore not guaranteed. Introduction: in sub-Saharan Africa, there is scare published data on cancer in general and gastric cancer in particular.

Methods: we conducted a multicenter retrospective analysis of the medical records of patients followed for gastric cancer in 5 hospital departments in the city of Yaoundé (Cameroon) over 6 years.

Burkina Faso recorded its first case of Covid-19 on March 09, 2020 but it was on April 1, 2020 that the general and visceral surgery department of the Center Hospitalier Universitaire Sourô SANOU (CHUSS) in Bobo-Dioulasso recorded its first case of COVID-19 and surgical pathology. From April to September 2020, our service recorded four cases, all male patients and tested positive for Covid-19 disease after an oropharyngeal sample performed using the RT- kit. PCR Detection kit for 2019-n COV RNA (Da An Gene Co) and the AriaMx (Real-Time PCR System) platform.

Background: Surgical resection is the treatment of choice for esophageal carcinoma. Over the past decade, laparoscopy has proven an accurate staging modality for detecting peritoneal carcinosis and small metastatic liver deposits unsuspected at preoperative investigation.
