[Assay for serum fructosamine in diabetes].

The serum fructosamine and some metabolic parameters such as glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, cholesterol and triglycerides were evaluated in 190 diabetics and 80 controls. A good correlation of fructosamine values with glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin was found. These results and the high precision of fructosamine test confirm the importance of fructosamine determination for the evaluation of glycometabolic control in diabetics.

[Allergy to insect venoms. Study of a population of apiculturists].

The results of a study conducted on a group of local beekeepers are presented. Total IgE and specific IgE for bee and wasp venom were assayed and these data correlated with anamnestic details obtained by means of a questionnaire.

[Tissue polypeptide antigen: significance and prospective use in the clinical laboratory].

Sequential determination of tissue polypeptide antigen were carried out in patients with neoplastic diseases. Blood specimens were taken before surgery and one week, one month and every months after the operation. The values obtained were compared with those of a control group of blood donors and those of a control group of healthy persons.

[A case of lymph node aspergillosis].

Lymph node aspergillosis in an otherwise healthy patient receiving neither antibiotic corticosteroid or immunodepressive drug treatment is an uncommon event. In addition the case reported revealed no deficiency in humoral or cellular immunity. The possibility that aspergillosis may occur in cases without identifiable immunodeficiency is therefore put forward.
