Introduction: Evidence demonstrating overall survival benefit of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) followed by surgical resection over upfront surgical resection for resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has been mixed. The time to first therapy (TTFT) variable has not been studied as a contributing factor.
Methods: A nationwide retrospective analysis using the National Cancer Database to evaluate patients with clinical stage T1 and T2 PDACs from 2010 to 2020.
Purpose/background: To identify the proportion of patients with prediabetes who have prescribed metformin and factors related to doing so as a preventive measure for diabetes in primary care at a Family Medicine Unit in northeastern Mexico.
Methods: This retrospective observational study included 372 adults who met the criteria for prediabetes diagnosis according to the American Diabetes Association. Data was collected from medical records from January 2020 to December 2021.
Indoor environmental quality is of utmost importance since urban populations spend a large proportion of their life in confined spaces. Supermarkets offer a wide range of products and services that are prone to emitting several air pollutants. This study aimed to perform a comprehensive characterisation of the indoor and outdoor air quality in a multinational supermarket, encompassing not only criteria parameters but also unregulated pollutants of concern.
