Observation-based verification of regional/national methane (CH) emission trends is crucial for transparent monitoring and mitigation strategy planning. Although surface observations track the global and sub-hemispheric emission trends well, their sparse spatial coverage limits our ability to assess regional trends. Dense satellite observations complement surface observations, offering a valuable means to validate emission trends, especially in regions where emissions changes are substantial but debated.

Major histocompatibility complex class I deficiency results from deleterious biallelic variants in TAP1, TAP2, TAPBP, and B2M genes. Only a few patients with variant-curated TAP1 deficiency (TAP1D) have been reported in the literature and the clinical phenotype has been variable with an emphasis on autoimmune and inflammatory complications. We report TAP1D in a Nepalese girl with a severe clinical phenotype with serious viral infections at a very young age.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological autoimmune condition associated with many symptoms including spasticity, pain, limb numbness and weakness. It is characterised by inflammatory demyelination and axonal degeneration of the brain and spinal cord. A range of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) are available to suppress inflammatory disease activity in MS, however, there is a pressing need for new therapeutic avenues as DMTs have a limited ability to suppress confirmed disability progression.

The present study describes the isolation and separation of isogarcinol and garcinol from kokum fruit by flash chromatography using water (containing 0.1 % formic acid) and methanol mixed with acetonitrile (1:1) with UV detection at 254 nm and was characterised by HR-MS and NMR studies. These were further subjected to antimicrobial studies on Staphylococcus aureus FR1722 and Listeria monocytogenes Scott A by agar diffusion assay and broth microdilution method wherein the MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) of garcinol and isogarcinol were, 20 μg/mL and 50 μg/mL for S.
