Purpose: As healthcare workers (HCW) have been disproportionally affected by COVID-19, its post-acute sequelae (PASC) in HCW can impact healthcare systems. We assessed the burden and course of PASC in HCW over a 30-month period.

Methods: In a prospective multicentre HCW cohort in Switzerland, PASC surveys were conducted in 03/2021, 09/2021, 06/2022, 04/2023, and 10/2023.

Background: Doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (doxy-PEP) reduces chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis infections among men who have sex with men (MSM) and transwomen (TW). Perspectives of health care providers (HCPs) regarding doxy-PEP can inform implementation efforts.

Methods: From August 2022 to January 2023, HCPs were recruited from 13 cities with high sexually transmitted infection (STI) rates for semi-structured, in-depth interviews about their awareness of and attitudes towards doxy-PEP for STI prevention.

The perception of an object's location is profoundly influenced by the surrounding dynamics. This is dramatically demonstrated by the frame effect, where a moving frame induces substantial shifts in the perceived location of objects that flash within it. In this study, we examined the elements contributing to the large magnitude of this effect.

Purpose: To assess the 6-month visual and refractive outcomes of keratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) as compared to laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) in a military population at a Joint Warfighter Refractive Surgery Center.

Setting: Joint Warfighter Refractive Surgery Center (JWRSC), Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.

Design: Retrospective Study.

The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence, molecular epidemiology, and risk factors for gut colonization with extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacterales (ESBL-E), carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE), and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) in healthcare workers (HCWs). In September/October 2022, we performed a cross-sectional study among HCW from 14 institutions in Northeastern Switzerland. HCWs reported risk factors for antimicrobial resistance (covering the last 12-24 months) and provided rectal swabs.
