The paper is a microangiographic study of the revascularisation of experimentally devascularised femoral heads in rabbits. We examined the revascularisation process in muscle pedicles implanted into the devascularised femoral heads. Two forms of pediculated grafts were used: muscle-pedicle grafts and muscle-bone-pedicle grafts.

26 cases of calcanconavicular coalitions were treated by resection of the calcanconavicular bar. The endresults were markedly influenced by the age at surgery, while there was no difference between the "bone" and "cartilage" group. The coalition must be recognised if someone examinates a rigid flatfoot.
