MicroRNA-145-5p (miR-145) has been reported to regulate multiple oncogenes and is considered a tumor suppressor. However, it remains unknown whether the level of plasma miR-145 can serve as a risk biomarker for future cancer. Using a population-based cohort ( = 1740) derived from the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT), we investigated whether plasma miR-145 levels were associated with (1) first life-time cancer, (2) cancer stage at diagnosis, and (3) 2-year all-cause mortality after cancer diagnosis.

The Southern Islands Vascular Flora (SIVFLORA) dataset is a globally significant, open-access resource that compiles essential biodiversity data on vascular plants from islands across the Southern Ocean. The SIVFLORA dataset was generated through five steps: study area delimitation, compiling the dataset, validating and harmonizing taxonomy, structuring dataset attributes, and establishing file format and open access. Covering major taxonomic divisions, SIVFLORA offers a comprehensive overview of plant occurrences, comprising 14,589 records representing 886 species, 95 families, and 42 orders.

An Evaluation of and as Natural Prey for the Generalist Predator .

(Stephens) is a common generalist predator in agroecosystems, frequently used for the control of soft-bodied pests in augmentative releases. Better knowledge of its interactions with secondary natural prey is necessary to optimize field biocontrol performance. This work evaluates the eggs and early larvae of (Hübner) and (Boisduval) as natural prey for the third larval instar of , and the predator preferences for different prey stages under varying conditions, assessing the impact on its life cycle and reproduction, in comparison with commercial diets based on Zeller eggs.

Introduction: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a common sexually transmitted infection often associated with cancer development. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of HPV in women receiving care at the AUNA healthcare network in Peru.

Methods: We conducted an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective study.
