MRI is the cornerstone in the evaluation of brain metastases. The clinical challenges lie in discriminating metastases from mimickers such as infections or primary tumors and in evaluating the response to treatment. The latter sometimes leads to growth, which must be framed as pseudo-progression or radionecrosis, both inflammatory phenomena attributable to treatment, or be considered as recurrence.

Materials And Methods: In this retrospective, international multicenter study, we reviewed the electronic medical records and imaging of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 from March 3, 2020, to June 25, 2020. Our inclusion criteria were patients diagnosed with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection with acute neurologic manifestations and available chest CT and brain imaging.
Cocaine consumption is associated with a variety of clinical manifestations. Though cocaine intranasal inhalation always determines nasal mucosal damages, extensive septum perforations, and midline destructions-known as cocaine-induced midline destructive lesions (CIMDL)-affect only a limited fraction of patients. CIMDL is viewed as a cocaine-associated autoimmune phenomenon in which the presence of atypical anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) promotes and/or defines the disease phenotype.
