Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related dementia preferentially impacts two-thirds of women and one-third of men. The steroidogenic acute regulatory (StAR) protein mediates the biosynthesis of neurosteroids that sustain diverse neuronal activities. Aging, involving neurosteroidal imbalance, is the predominant risk factor for AD causing dementia.

Recently, titanium dioxide nanoparticles have garnered huge attention in scientific research for their small size and effective drug delivery capabilities. In this study, we developed alizarin (AL)-capped phenylboronic acid (PBA)-functionalized titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO) for glucose-sensitive insulin delivery (TiO-PBA-INS-AL) aiming to manage both blood sugar levels and its associated organ pathology in DM.

Global warming, in addition to geological and local factors, may affect sea-level rise in the next few decades. Here, we provide a method that integrates the expected sea-level rise into existing PTHA, updating regional models without further tsunami simulations.

In both cases, five coordinated V ions adopted distorted square pyramidal geometry through the coordination of two oxido ligands and one hydrazone ligand.
