First-line therapy for patients with extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (EMZL) is not well established, except for eradication therapy for Helicobacter pylori in early gastric MZL. Various regimens, for example, locoregional treatment and systemic chemo-immunotherapy, can be used depending on the site and stage of disease. Single-agent rituximab is a useful approach in the setting of localized, low-intermediate risk EMZL.

However, their predictive role in patients with intermediate-stage HCC undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) remains an area that requires further investigation, as early recognition of TACE refractoriness holds the potential to guide tailored therapeutic interventions.

Methods: This multicenter international retrospective study analyzed data from patients with intermediate-stage HCC undergoing TACE between 2018 and 2024.

Management of Airways through Rapid Tracheostomy in a Severely Burnt Patient Attended to via Helicopter.

In Catanzaro, Italy, an adult male with severe burns all over his body and in a state of coma was promptly rescued by the medical team at the air ambulance service (HEMS), who provided airway safety through laryngeal mask placement (LMA). The patient was subsequently transferred to the nearest Hub center, where an emergency tracheostomy was performed to ensure better airway management during the flight to the nearest available major burn center. This is the first documented case at regional level of a patient undergoing rapid tracheostomy through an imminent transfer with air ambulance.

In this study, we report the 2008-2018 time-trends in the PCDD/F and DL-PCB contamination of milk from buffaloes fed on local forage in rural areas of the Campania region. Validated according to QA/QC criteria, the dataset (N = 808 on a total of 2068 samples, after excluding follow-up results and outliers) was computed on the upper-bound value pg WHO-TEQ gfat.
