Demographics of Feline Lymphoma in Australian Cat Populations: 1705 Cases.

Lymphoma is the most common haematopoietic cancer in cats with few large studies evaluating breed and sex as risk factors for the disease. Australia's geographic isolation and quarantine rules have led to a potentially restricted genetic pool and, currently, there have not been any large local epidemiological studies reported. A total of 1705 lymphoma cases were identified from several sources and compared to a reference population of 85,741 cats, and represent cats that are presented to veterinary clinics.

The Demography, Longevity and Mortality of Bullmastiffs Attending Veterinary Practices in Australia.

The Bullmastiff is a giant breed of dog, and there is evidence the breed is predisposed to cancer and musculoskeletal disorders, though the disease investigation of the breed is limited. This study reports on the demography, longevity and mortality of Bullmastiffs attending veterinary practices in Australia over a ten-year period. VetCompass Australia collects patient data from veterinary practices across Australia for epidemiological analysis.

A core outcome set for best care for the dying person: Results of an international Delphi study and consensus meeting.

Background: Outcome measurement is essential to progress clinical practice and improve patient care.

Aim: To develop a Core Outcome Set for best care for the dying person.

Design: We followed the Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials (COMET) Initiative guidelines, which involved identifying potential outcomes via a systematic literature review (n = 619 papers) and from participants in the "iLIVE" project (10 countries: 101 patients, 37 family members, 63 clinicians), followed by a two-round Delphi study, and a consensus meeting.

Epilepsy core outcome set for effectiveness trials (EPSET): A systematic review of outcomes measured in registered phase III and IV clinical trials for adults with epilepsy.

At present, little is known about the outcomes measured in studies assessing the effectiveness of treatments for adults with epilepsy. As part of a wider project developing a Core Outcome Set for clinical trials for adults with epilepsy, we summarised the current outcomes and measurement instruments used in completed phase III and IV clinical trials registered in the clinicaltrials.gov and International Standard Randomised Controlled Trial Number (ISRCTN) databases.
