Ten-year survival outcome of breast cancer patients in India.

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women in India; however, there are no studies addressing long-term survival (10 years and above). This study sought to evaluate long-term oncological outcome among women with breast cancer treated with a curative intent.

Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective cohort analysis of 1301 breast cancer patients of all stages who had received primary treatment with curative intent from 2004 to 2010 at a single cancer institution of India.

Long-term survival outcome of advanced epithelial ovarian cancer: A single institutional study.

Background: A number of patients with advanced-stage epithelial ovarian cancer do survive beyond 5 years. The long-term follow-up data are limited, especially for the Indian setting. We evaluated the 10-year survival outcome and influencing clinicopathological factors.

Reduction in Bacterial Loading Using MTAD as an Irrigant in Pulpectomized Primary Teeth.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the reduction in bacterial loading uing MTAD as an irrigating solution in pulpectomized primary teeth.

Study Design: A randomized, controlled clinical trial was performed that included primary teeth with pulp necrosis. Sixty necrotic canals were included, 30 irrigated with MTAD (experimental group) and 30 with 1% Na0Cl solution (control group); in all cases, 2 microbiological samples from within the canals were taken with sterile paper points, the first after the canal opening and before the first irrigation, and the second after instrumentation and final irrigation, before obturation.

Chemomechanical caries removal in primary molars : evaluation of marginal leakage and shear bond strength in bonded restorations--an in vitro study.

Objectives: To evaluate and compare the efficiency, marginal leakage and shear bond strength of Carisolv and Papacarie in primary molars.

Method: Freshly extracted 60 human carious primary molars were randomly divided into two experimental groups--Group I [caries removal by Carisolv] and Group II [caries removal by Papacarie]. The amount of time taken for complete caries removal was recorded using a stopwatch.
