Background: The socket-shield (SS) technique results in long-term functional osseo- and dento-integration, preserving the dimensional stability of hard and soft tissues over time. This study aimed to describe the successful implementation of a surgical technique to facilitate "SS" cases.
Methods: The cases included males and females aged 32-81 years consecutively treated between 2020 and 2023 (longest follow-up, 3.
Introduction: Mount Sinai Hospital in New York introduced a laparoscopic surgery simulation center to a public hospital in Santiago, Dominican Republic to determine the feasibility of training programs in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs).
Methods: In August 2018, recruitment and preliminary data were collected at the Hospital Jose Maria Cabral y Báez in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The simulation room consists of three simulation stations.
This paper investigates unemployment persistence in the 27 EU member states by applying fractional integration methods to quarterly data (both seasonally adjusted and unadjusted) from 2000q1 to 2020q4. The obtained evidence points to high levels of persistence in all cases. With seasonally adjusted data, a small degree of mean reversion is found in the case of Belgium, Luxembourg and Malta, but this evidence disappears under the assumption of weakly correlated disturbances.

Purpose: The purpose of this observational study was to determine the prevalence of digitally placed implants in the anterior maxilla that would allow screw-retained implant-supported restorations with either a straight or an angled screw-channel abutment.
