Background: The present community-based study assessed the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD)/chronic kidney disease of unknown origin (CKDu) as well as anemia in some intense agricultural zones under Hirakud Command Area and evaluated their association with pesticides and heavy metal exposure.
Methods: Random cluster sampling method was used to assess the prevalence of CKD and anemia. Hematological analysis was carried out using autoanalyzer.
Aim: The present study is aimed to compare the effectiveness of dentinal tubule occlusion of two natural-based desensitizing toothpaste (Bentodent Desensitizer and Fang Farm Mint) and Novamin-based toothpaste (Shy-NM) under scanning electron microscope (SEM).
Materials And Methods: A total of 60 root dentin discs (3 mm-thick) were obtained from recently extracted permanent premolar teeth and were randomly divided into four groups based on the desensitizing toothpaste used, each group with 15 samples: Group I: Control, group II: Shy-NM, group III: Bentodent desensitizer, group IV: Fang Farm Mint. Samples were brushed for 2 min twice daily with a soft toothbrush with respective pea size amount of toothpaste for 14 days manually.
This study delves into the synthesis, in vitro assessment, and molecular docking analysis of bioactive urea and thiourea derivatives, which have garnered significant attention in pharmaceutical chemistry due to their versatile chemical reactivity and potential therapeutic applications One pot synthetic approach was utilized to develop a diverse class of these compounds. Subsequent biological assessments, including antimicrobial assays, demonstrated their pharmacological potential by inhibiting pathogenic microorganisms. Molecular docking analysis offered computational insights into the interactions between these compounds and specific biomolecules, shedding light on their potential mechanisms of action.
