Introduction: The prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder has increased, varying between 0.5 and 1% around the world. The prevalence of ASD in Chile is unknown.

Determinants of anterior tooth loss in Chilean adults: data from the Chilean National Health Survey 2016-2017.

Objective: To describe prevalence of anterior tooth loss and its determinants among Chilean people aged over 15 years.

Methods: Cross-sectional study, using the sampling frame of the Chilean National Health Survey 2016-2017 (n=5473 participants). Multivariate logistic regressions were performed to obtain the prevalence and odds ratio (OR) for anterior tooth loss using a complex sampling method.

PDX-1 mRNA expression in endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle cytoaspirate: perspectives in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Background And Aims: Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration is routinely used in the diagnostic work up of pancreatic cancer but has a low sensitivity. Studies showed that Pancreatic Duodenal Homeobox-1 (PDX-1) is expressed in pancreatic cancer, which is associated with a worse prognosis. We aimed to verify whether the assessment of PDX-1 in endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration samples may be helpful for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

[Mixed neoplasia of the stomach: description of a case of tubular adenoma combined with carcinoid].

We report about a gastric polyp that was a combination of tubular adenoma and carcinoid. The patient, a 76 year-old male, presented with 1 cm sessile polyp, located in the gastric body, that was a combination of a tubular adenoma with moderate dysplasia and a small carcinoid. Immunohistochemically, the latter component was positive for chromogranin and synaptophysin.
