Apitherapy Products for Medicinal Use.

For the past 10 years, beekeeping has increased due to a growing awareness of the disappearance of bees since Colony Collapse Disorder. Most of the disappearance of honey bees can be attributed to the use of pesticides. Apitherapy is the science and art of maintaining health with the use of products from the honeybee hive: honey, bee pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and bee venom.

Sister Mary Joseph nodule or node refers to a palpable nodule bulging into the umbilicus and is usually a result of a malignant cancer in the pelvis or abdomen. Quadricuspid aortic valve diagnosed by echocardiography in two cases identical twins.

Quadricuspid aortic valves (QAVs) are a rare but well-recognized congenital heart disease and a cause of aortic regurgitation. The first case was reported in 1862. Since then, there have been about 189 cases reported with advances in echocardiography, more cases are diagnosed by transesophageal echocardiography.

Hemodynamic compromise secondary to a mediastinal bronchogenic cyst.

Bronchogenic cysts are not commonly the cause of severe symptoms, and often present only as an abnormality on chest roentgenogram. We report an unusual patient with a mediastinal bronchogenic cyst associated with rapid hemodynamic deterioration secondary to compression of vital structures.
