Problems with the availability of raw materials on the Polish market have forced wood industry producers to search for new, previously unused species of wood that meet the functional requirements of the target products. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on products whose structure is different from the popular offerings on the market. The goal of this study was to analyze the influence of the thickness of Scots pine veneers, also with Alder interlayer variants, on Young's modulus and stiffness values of plywood-like composites dedicated to flooring applications regarding statistically based quality control of the products.

Fluorescence-guided surgery could improve resection accuracy. As dogs are frequently affected by STS, they serve as a model to test an anti-αβ integrin targeting near-infrared fluorescent (NIRF) dye (Angiostamp800) for fluorescence-guided surgery in STS to evaluate its safety and feasibility in dogs, and if it translates into a clinically relevant benefit compared to the standard of care with regards to completeness of surgery and local recurrence.

We report a case of a 28-year-old male with severe burns and a TBSA of 49% who presented after a fire incident. The trauma team managed the patient's fluid resuscitation, followed by early burn debridement.

In this study, we evaluated if the loss of cell cycle control in p53-deficient myeloma cells would confer a metabolically actionable vulnerability. We show that CTP synthase 1 (), which encodes a CTP synthesis rate-limiting enzyme essential for DNA and RNA synthesis in lymphoid cells, is overexpressed in samples from myeloma patients displaying a high proliferation rate (high expression) or a low p53 score (synonymous with deletion and/or mutation).
