Unlabelled: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a prevalent and clinically significant cardiac arrhythmia, with a growing incidence. The primary objectives in AF management are symptom relief, stroke risk reduction, and prevention of tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy. Two key strategies for rhythm control include antiarrhythmic drug therapy and pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), with PVI being recommended for selected patients.

We aimed to identify imaging biomarkers for pre-clinical cardiomyopathy in healthy individuals carrying cardiomyopathy-associated variants (G+).
Methods: We included 40,169 UK biobank participants without cardiac disease who had cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) measurements and whole exome sequencing.
Aims: Patients with congestive heart failure (HF) are prone to clinical deterioration leading to hospital admissions, burdening both patients and the healthcare system. Predicting hospital admission in this patient group could enable timely intervention, with subsequent reduction of these admissions. To date, hospital admission prediction remains challenging.

In this scoping review, we aimed to present an overview of the current literature available on the applicability of AI within the field of IHD. The literature search resulted in eighteen articles in which an AI model was trained and tested, mostly for diagnostic and predictive purposes.

Z-maps show normal distribution values relating an image to a database of controls. They are routinely used for FDG-PET to demonstrate disease-specific patterns of hypometabolism at the individual level.
