The effect of COVID certificates on vaccine uptake, health outcomes, and the economy.

In the COVID-19 pandemic many countries required COVID certificates, proving vaccination, recovery, or a recent negative test, to access public and private venues. We estimate their effect on vaccine uptake for France, Germany, and Italy using counterfactuals constructed via innovation diffusion theory. The announcement of COVID certificates during summer 2021 were associated - although causality cannot be directly inferred - with increased vaccine uptake in France of 13.

Deep Neural Networks Outperform the CAPRA Score in Predicting Biochemical Recurrence After Prostatectomy.

Background: Use of predictive models for the prediction of biochemical recurrence (BCR) is gaining attention for prostate cancer (PCa). Specifically, BCR occurs in approximately 20-40% of patients five years after radical prostatectomy (RP) and the ability to predict BCR may help clinicians to make better treatment decisions. We aim to investigate the accuracy of CAPRA score compared to others models in predicting the 3-year BCR of PCa patients.

[Short version of recommendations for enhanced recovery program (ERP) for cystectomy: Technical measures].

Introduction: The enhanced recovery program (ERP) is a management mode whose objective is to reduce the risk of complications and allow the patient to recover more quickly all its functional capacities and to reintegrate at most quickly and safely in his usual environment. This intentionally synthetic document aims to disseminate in the urological community the main points of the ERP recommendations for cystectomy. This work, coordinated by AFU, involves several other partners.
