In Benin, adaptation to climate change in the livestock sector has led cattle farmers to develop different livestock practices. Most research has focused on evaluating the effects of these practices on livestock productivity. However, information on the effect of these practices on carbon (C) sequestration in farmland soils is lacking.

This paper presents how to use a SMI for the measurement of Sound Pressure Level (SPL) in acoustic waveguides. To achieve this, the SMI is first calibrated in situ as a vibrometer.

The sensitivity is established by linearising the interferometer's governing equations. It is shown to be independent of the acoustic wave frequency but dependent on configuration parameters such as the optical feedback parameter or the length of the laser through which the acoustic wave passes.

The successful development of an economic model for the evaluation of future Alzheimer's disease (AD) interventions is critical to accurately inform policy makers and payers. As our understanding of AD expands, this becomes an increasingly complex and challenging goal. Advances in diagnostic techniques for AD and the prospect of disease-modifying treatments raise an urgent need to define specifications for future economic models and to ensure that the necessary data to populate them are available.
