Solid oxide cells (SOCs) are electrochemical devices that convert the chemical energy of a fuel into electricity. With regard to electrodes, the development of materials with mixed conduction properties is a key issue for improving the performance of SOCs at high temperatures. New Cu and Nb co-doping La Sr Fe Co O (LSCF) materials were studied as electrode materials on yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) supports.

Tensile strength and ductility of Selective Laser Melting (SLM) processed commercially pure Ti (CP-Ti) were simultaneous enhanced by preforming the melting/solidification processes under Static Magnetic Field (SMF). The effects of SMF on microstructure and tensile properties were examined. The SMF-SLMed CP-Ti sample presents a microstructure of fine acicular martensitic α'-Ti and lath-shaped α-Ti.
