Perspectives of Yukon's frontline health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The perspectives of Yukon's nurses and physicians can determine what might mitigate burnout and strengthen the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or future health emergencies. The study was conducted in the Yukon Territory, Canada in two phases: completion of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI), and in-depth oral interviews. This paper will discuss the results of the interviews.

The utility of MRI radiological biomarkers in determining intracranial pressure.

Intracranial pressure (ICP) is a physiological parameter that conventionally requires invasive monitoring for accurate measurement. Utilising multivariate predictive models, we sought to evaluate the utility of non-invasive, widely accessible MRI biomarkers in predicting ICP and their reversibility following cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) diversion. The retrospective study included 325 adult patients with suspected CSF dynamic disorders who underwent brain MRI scans within three months of elective 24-h ICP monitoring.

Prospective Validation of a Prediction Model for the Diagnosis of Acute Pancreatitis.

Importance: While most patients with acute pancreatitis (AP) fulfill diagnostic criteria with characteristic abdominal pain and serum lipase levels of at least 3 times the upper limit of normal (reference range) at presentation, early imaging is often used for confirmation. A prior prediction model and corresponding point-based score were developed using nonimaging parameters to diagnose AP in patients presenting to the emergency department (ED).

Objective: To evaluate the performance of the prediction model to diagnose AP in a prospective patient cohort.
