[Varicella fetopathy].

A newborn boy, whose mother had suffered from varicella in her 15th week of gestation, showed at birth fresh skin ulcers and cicatricial skin lesions on the right side of his face. Ocular abnormalities (chorioretinitis) as well as persistent dysphagia were observed. Up to date, only 25 cases of congenital varicella have been reported.
