Alzheimer's disease and related dementia are associated with significant societal costs and economic burdens and have been associated with decreases in cortical gray matter volume. This pilot cross-sectional study investigates the relationship between total fiber concentration in diet, total calorie density per diet, and regional GMV in a cohort of 190 patients aged 20 to 79 years, utilizing data from the 2015 National Health Interview Survey Supplement and T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) collected at the McCausland Center for Brain Imaging. Gray matter volumes were quantified using the CAT12 voxel-based morphometry toolbox and statistical correlations between GMV and dietary measures were assessed using Spearman's rank order correlation coefficient.

Therefore, a fluorescent probe tetraphenylethylene-quinoline (P-1) is developed with multiple sensing properties for the sequential detection of tert-butyldiphenylsilyl chloride (TBDS), F, and viscosity. Sensor P-1 first recognized TBDS and then observed an intramolecular charge transfer process, which produced an intermediate sensor P-2 in addition to fluorescence quenching at 576 nm.

These are functionalized with Anti-Exendin-4 Antibodies (Anti-Ex-4-Abs) and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) to create sensitive probes (Co@HNCNs/Anti-Ex-4-Abs/BSA, CoO@HNCNs/Anti-Ex-4-Abs/BSA, and CoP@HNCNs/Anti-Ex-4-Abs/BSA) for the ultrasensitive detection of exendin-4 (Ex-4), a peptide agonist used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Among the cobalt-based carbon nanostructures, the CoO@HNCNs/Anti-Ex-4-Abs/BSA nanoprobe demonstrated superior ability to specifically recognize Ex-4.

Little is known about cervical cancer among Bangladeshi women. This study aims to estimate the prevalence of cervical cancer screening and demographic correlates to identify potential variabilities in screening rates among different demographic groups and regions.

However, current electrochemical heavy metal sensors suffer from high sensing limits, cross-sensitivity, and poor selectivity. In this work, we present the possibility of an electrochemical sensor based on a copper (Cu) metal-organic framework for the detection of lead, cadmium, and mercury by replacing Cu metal nodes.
