Stochastic dynamics of hairballs in single-polymer growth.

Real-time monitoring of the single-chain growth of synthetic polymers shows that their end-to-end extension during polymerization in living conditions does not increase continuously. Instead, it remains in a non-equilibrium state, exhibiting stochastic wait-and-jump events when one end of the polymer is subjected to a constant force and the other end is clamped. This wait-and-jump observation was attributed to the stochastic formation and unwinding of conformational entanglements, referred to as hairballs, which result from intrachain and non-bonded interactions within the polymer.

A growing threat to male infertility has become a major concern for the human population due to the advent of modern technologies as a source of radiofrequency radiation (RFR). Since these technologies have become an integral part of our daily lives, thus, it becomes necessary to know the impression of such radiations on human health. In view of this, the current study aims to focus on the biological effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiations on mouse Leydig cell line (TM3) in a time-dependent manner.

A comparative study between two different dose fractionation schedules of cobalt-60-based HDR intracavitary brachytherapy in carcinoma cervix stages IIB-IIIC1.

Introduction: High dose rate (HDR) intracavitary brachytherapy (ICBT) is an integral element in the treatment of carcinoma uterine cervix. The main objective of brachytherapy in carcinoma cervix is to deliver a lethal dose to tumor cells without inducing unacceptable damage to the surrounding normal tissue. Because the absorbed dose falls off rapidly, higher doses can be safely delivered to the targeted tissue over a short time.

Knowledge and awareness of clinical trials among trial participants in India: A multicentric questionnaire-based cross-sectional study.

Purpose: The knowledge and attitude of participants toward clinical trials (CTs) are a key determinant in successful recruitment and retention. This study aimed to evaluate knowledge and awareness-attitude among the recruited CT participants about CTs.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional face-to-face survey comprising CT participants involved in the past or currently a part of a CT during this study within the Indian Ophthalmology Clinical Trial Network (IOCTN).
