Perception is an important aspect of our personal lives, interpersonal interactions and professional activities and performance. A large body of psychological research has been dedicated to exploring how perception happens, whether and when it involves conscious awareness and what are the physiological correlates, such as skin-conductance and heart-rate responses, that occur when we perceive particularly emotional elicitors. A more recent and less explored question in psychological science is how and when misperception happens, and what are the physiological characteristics of the misperception of emotion.

Protocol to establish an accelerated murine model for Helicobacter-induced gastric cancer.

Helicobacter-induced gastric cancer progresses very slowly, even in animal models, making it difficult to study. Here, we present a protocol to establish an accelerated murine model for Helicobacter-induced gastric cancer. We describe steps for infecting mice with Helicobacter felis, harvesting gastric tissue, assessing disease severity by histopathologic scoring, and performing gene expression studies with RT-qPCR and RNA sequencing.

A Scoping Review on Staff Attitudes towards the Use of Coercion in Mental Healthcare.

Attitudes of mental health professionals towards the use of coercion are highly relevant concerning its use coercion in mental healthcare, as mental health professionals have to weigh ethical arguments and decide within a legal frame in which situations to use coercion or not. Therefore, assessment of those attitudes is relevant for research in this field. A vital instrument to measure those attitudes towards the use of coercion is the Staff Attitude to Coercion Scale.
