IFNs play a critical role in cancer biology, including impacting tumor cell behavior and instructing the tumor microenvironment (TME). IFNs recently have been shown to reprogram tumor metabolism through distinct mechanisms. Furthermore, IFNs shape the TME by modulating immune cell infiltration and function, contributing to the intricate interaction between the tumor and stromal cells.

Electrical manipulation of spin-polarized current is highly desirable yet tremendously challenging in developing ultracompact spintronic device technology. Here we propose a scheme to realize the all-electrical manipulation of spin-polarized current in an altermagnetic bilayer. Such a bilayer system can host layer-spin locking, in which one layer hosts a spin-polarized current while the other layer hosts a current with opposite spin polarization.

Increased tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) has been associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD). We aim to evaluate the predictive capability of TFPI for atherothrombotic events (ATE) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetes. A prospective observational study was performed at Northern Health, Australia.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system (CNS), which is linked to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection, preceding the disease. The molecular mechanisms underlying this connection are only partially understood. We previously described molecular mimicry between the EBV transcription factor EBV nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) and three human CNS proteins: anoctamin-2 (ANO2), alpha-B crystallin (CRYAB), and glial cellular adhesion molecule (GlialCAM).
