Introduction Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which contribute to a significant amount of mortality and morbidity in the reproductive life of adults, are infections that can be prevented by healthy sexual behavior and education about the same. This study aims to assess the knowledge and attitude toward STIs and contraceptive use among patients attending the Venereology Outpatient Department (OPD). Methods A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted among patients more than 18 years of age attending the Venereology OPD, Government Medical College and Hospital, Thiruvallur, India, from March to May 2024.

Topological indices are numerical invariants that provide key insights into the structural properties of molecular graphs and are crucial in predicting physio-chemical and biological activities. This paper applies established computational methodologies for analyzing benzenoid networks and their application to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) through degree-based topological indices computed via M-polynomial and NM-polynomial approaches. By examining tessellations, including linear chain, hexagonal, rhomboidal, and triangular configurations alongside their line graphs, this work highlights the influence of molecular topology on biological activity.

Liver metastases from Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers present significant challenges in oncology, often signaling poor prognosis. Traditional detection methods like imaging and tissue biopsies have limitations in sensitivity, specificity, and tumor heterogeneity represen-tation. The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, driven by advancements in ma-chine learning, algorithms, and data science, offers a promising frontier for early detection and management of liver metastases.

Acute leukemia (AL) affects patients' well-being and inflicts substantial symptom burden. We evaluated palliative care needs and symptom burden in adult patients with AL from diagnosis through fourth week of induction chemotherapy. Newly diagnosed adult patients with AL scheduled for curative-intent treatments, prospectively completed Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Leukemia questionnaire at diagnosis and postinduction therapy.

The aggregation of proteins, peptides and amino acids has been a keen subject of interest owing to their implications in metabolic disorders. In this work, we investigated the self-aggregation of the unmodified aromatic amino acid l-tryptophan (Trp) into unusual spherical microstructures. Using fluorescence spectroscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), we detail the time-dependent transformation of monomeric tryptophan into spherical aggregates with distinct fluorescence characteristics (λ = 345 nm, λ = 430 nm) compared to the monomer.
