Introduction & Objectives: To evaluate whether cardiovascular risk factors and their management differ in primary prevention between adult males and females with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in two European countries in 2020-2022 and sex inequalities in achievement of standards of care in diabetes.

Methods: We used 2020-2022 data of patients without a cardiovascular history in the Prospective Diabetes Follow-up registry (DPV) centres, in Germany, and the Société Francophone du Diabète- Cohorte Diabète de Type 1 cohort (SFDT1), in France.

Results: We included 2,657 participants from the DPV registry and 1,172 from the SFDT1 study.

Introduction: Diabetes technology improves glycemic control and quality of life for many people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). However, inequalities in access to diabetes technology exist in many countries. In Germany, disparities in technology use have been described in pediatric T1D, but no data for adults are available so far.

Introduction: The aims of this study were to characterize insulin-treated individuals aged ≥75 years with type 2 diabetes using basal insulin analogs (BIA) or regular insulins (human insulin (HI)/neutral protamine Hagedorn (NPH)) and to compare the benefits and risks.

Research Design And Methods: The analysis was based on data from the DPV (Diabetes-Patienten-Verlaufsdokumentation) and DIVE (DIabetes Versorgungs-Evaluation) registries. To balance for confounders, propensity score matching for age, sex, diabetes duration, body mass index and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) as covariates was performed.

Aims: To assess the prevalence of elevated liver enzymes in adults with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in routine clinical care and the association with cardiovascular risk profile in the Diabetes-Prospective-Documentation (DPV) network in Germany and Austria.

Subjects And Methods: This cross sectional observational study from the DPV registry includes data from 45 519 adults with T1DM at 478 centres up to September 2016. Liver enzyme measurements were available in 9226 (29%) patients at 270 centres and were analysed for increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT; men >50 U/L, women >35U/L) and/or aspartate aminotransferase (AST; men >50 U/L, women >35U/L) and/or gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT; men >60U/L, women >40 U/L).

Background: A growing number of people with type 1 diabetes (T1DM) are identified with features of metabolic syndrome (MS) known as "double diabetes", but epidemiologic data on the prevalence of MS in T1DM and its comorbidities are still lacking. Aim of this cross sectional study is to better estimate the prevalence of MS in T1DM, and to assess its association with comorbidities.

Methods: Data of 31,119 persons with autoimmune diabetes mellitus were analysed for signs of MS and presence of late complications.
