Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the National Clean Air Programme in Terms of Health Impacts from Exposure to PM2.5 and NO Concentrations in Poland.

The health impact of air quality has recently become an emerging issue. Many regions, especially densely populated regions, have deteriorating air quality. The primary source of pollution in Poland is the municipal sector.

Secukinumab demonstrates superiority over narrow-band ultraviolet B phototherapy in new-onset moderate to severe plaque psoriasis patients: Week 52 results from the STEPIn study.

Background: Biologic treatments have been studied mainly in patients with a long-term history of psoriasis and previous treatment failures.

Objectives: The purpose of this primary analysis of the STEPIn study is to determine whether early intervention with secukinumab in patients with new-onset moderate to severe plaque psoriasis is superior to standard of care treatment with narrow band ultraviolet B (nb-UVB) phototherapy.

Methods: The STEPIn study is a randomized, open-label, multicentre study to investigate early intervention with 52 weeks of secukinumab 300 mg administered subcutaneously versus standard treatment with nb-UVB phototherapy in patients with new-onset (≤12 months) moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (NCT03020199).

Background: Randomized controlled trials of secukinumab have shown sustained efficacy and a favourable safety profile in multiple manifestations of psoriatic disease.

Objectives: To assess the long-term, real-world retention, effectiveness and safety of secukinumab in routine clinical practice for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque-type psoriasis (PsO).

Methods: SERENA (CAIN457A3403) is a large, ongoing, longitudinal, observational study conducted at 438 sites and 19 countries for an expected duration of up to 5 years in adult patients with moderate-to-severe PsO, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Interim 2-Year Analysis from SERENA: A Real-World Study in Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis or Ankylosing Spondylitis Treated with Secukinumab.

Introduction: Sustained improvement of high degree in clinical outcomes have been demonstrated in phase 3 trials with secukinumab in both psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The objective of the SERENA study was to evaluate the effectiveness, retention rates, and safety of secukinumab in patients with PsA and AS.

Methods: SERENA is an ongoing, longitudinal, real-world observational study involving patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis, PsA, or AS.

Long-term Safety of Secukinumab Over Five Years in Patients with Moderate-to-severe Plaque Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis: Update on Integrated Pooled Clinical Trial and Post-marketing Surveillance Data.

Secukinumab, a selective interleukin (IL)-17A inhibitor, is approved for use in adult and paediatric psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. The aim of this study was to report the long-term safety of secukinumab in pooled data from 28 clinical trials and a post-marketing safety surveillance in psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis patients. Analyses included 12,637 secukinumab-treated patients, corresponding to 15,063, 5,985 and 3,527 patient-years of exposure in psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis patients, respectively.
