HtpB, the chaperonin of the bacterial pathogen , is found in extracellular locations, even the cytoplasm of host cells. Although chaperonins have an essential cytoplasmic function in protein folding, HtpB exits the cytoplasm to perform extracellular virulence-related functions that support 's lifestyle. The mechanism by which HtpB reaches extracellular locations is not currently understood.

Objective: The aim of this paper is to summarise the findings of a virtual workshop at the Creating Futures 2023 Conference held on October 18 with 45 participants attending from Fiji, PNG, Solomon Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Cook Islands, Australia and New Zealand. Brief presentations about future mental health needs of Pacific children & young people were followed by small group discussions. These focussed on how island nation participants could "make it real" by considering actions to promote mental health and wellbeing in their communities.

However, the diabetogenic effects of immunosuppression can counteract the beneficial effects of sustained normoglycemia. ,-Dimethylformamide (DMF) provides a useful small-molecule model for studying features of the peptide bond that forms the backbone of proteins. We report results from a comprehensive multimass velocity-map imaging study into the ultraviolet (UV) photolysis of the ,-dimethylformamide cation (DMF) at wavelengths of 225, 245, and 280 nm. Electronic structure calculations on DMF and DMF were employed to help interpret the experimental results.
