Background: Emotional availability and responsiveness in intrapartum care increase women's birth satisfaction, comfort, and quality of nursing/midwifery care. In Turkey, there is no instrument for measuring emotional availability and responsiveness in intrapartum care.
Aim: An established translation, reliability, and validation approach was used to obtain the Turkish form of the A-EAR-IC scale.
Introduction: It has been suggested that inhibin B (InhB), Anti-Müllerian hormone (Müllerian-inhibiting substance, AMH) levels, and 2D/4D finger length ratios are related to sex differences in neurodevelopmental disorders. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of InhB, AMH levels, and 2D/4D finger length ratios in male children with specific learning disorder (SLD).
Methods: The study included 38 male children diagnosed with SLD and 38 males of similar ages without SLD as the control group.
Purpose: To compare PwPOMS and healthy controls in terms of respiratory functions, respiratory muscle strength, and fatigue, and investigate the determining role of fatigue on respiratory parameters.
Methods: Twenty-five PwPOMS and 15 healthy controls were included in the study. Maximum inspiratory pressure (MIP) and expiratory pressures (MEP) were measured.
Background: There is insufficient replicated data to establish a relationship between the polymorphisms of SLC6A2 and CYP2D6 and the treatment responses of atomoxetine (ATX) in ADHD. We focused on evaluating the effect of top-line single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in SLC6A2 and CYP2D6 on the ATX treatment response in attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Methods: Of 160 patient records, 34 patients who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated to determine the relationship between genotypes of ten SNPs (six of SLC6A2 and four of CYP2D6) and ATX treatment response.
Introduction: There is a significant, but poorly understood, male preponderance in prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between male preponderance in ASD and Inhibin B (InhB) and Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels and the 2D/4D finger ratio associated with fetal androgen exposure.
Methods: 42 patients with ASD and 42 neurotypical controls between the ages of 5 and 10 were included.
