Small fetuses, with estimated fetal weight (EFW) below the tenth percentile, are classified as fetal growth restriction (FGR) or small for gestational age (SGA) based on prenatal ultrasound. FGR fetuses have a greater risk of stillbirth and perinatal complications and may benefit from serial ultrasound scans to guide early delivery. Abnormal serum angiogenic factors, such as the soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1):placental growth factor (PlGF) ratio, have shown potential to more accurately distinguish FGR from SGA, with fewer false positives.

Background And Objective: Direct-acting antivirals have greatly simplified the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV), yet circuits that bring diagnosis and treatment closer to people who inject drugs (PWID) are needed to achieve the elimination targets of the WHO. With this purpose we have established an externalized nurse-driven circuit among former and active PWID in an addiction centre (AC) and a harm reduction centre (HRC).

Methods And Settings: The nursing staff offered HCV screening, diagnosis and treatment to the AC and HRC users, administered medication after the hepatologist's remote prescription to those with an active infection who accepted being treated, and implemented educational and harm reduction interventions.

Background: Dosimetry in intraoperative electron radiotherapy (IOERT) poses distinct challenges, especially with inclined applicators deviating from international protocols. Ion recombination in ionization chambers, electron beam degradation due to scattering in cylindrical applicators, coupled with a lack of a well-defined beam quality surrogate, complicate output factor determination with ionization chambers. Synthetic diamond-based detectors, offer potential solutions; however, their suitability requires further exploration.
