Introduction: Sodium nitrite is a potent oxidizer, which may precipitate rapidly lethal methemoglobinemia. Prompt diagnosis and treatment may salvage otherwise fatal cases. It is unclear if emergency departments are prepared for increasing cases.

Methods And Results: Cur-NPs (30 nm and 200 nm) were nebulized separately onto the multidrug-resistant lung cancer cells (H69AR).
Rationale And Objectives: Triple rule out CT protocols (TRO-CT) have been advocated as a single test to simultaneously evaluate major causes of acute chest pain, in particular acute myocardial infarction (MI), acute pulmonary embolism (PE), and acute aortic syndrome. However, it is unclear what patient populations would benefit from a such comprehensive exam and current guidelines recommend tailoring CT protocols to the most likely diagnosis.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed TRO-CT scans performed from the Emergency Department (ED) at our institution from April 2021 to April 2022.
Purpose: Hyperoxemia is common in patients resuscitated after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and may increase the risk of mortality. However, the effect of hyperoxemia on functional outcome, specifically related to the timing of exposure to hyperoxemia, remains unclear.
Methods: The secondary analysis of the Target Temperature Management 2 (TTM-2) randomized trial.
